How to Setup: How to Add Request a Quote Button to Your Store
- After installing the app, click on the “General Settings” button from the side navigation bar.
- On this page, manage your settings and click on the “Update” button to save your changes. After saving your settings, the button will be displayed on your store.
- Show Quote Button on: Here you can set the button to display on the Cart Page and/or the Checkout Page.
- Show Quote Button for: Here you can set the button to show for Guest Customers and/or Registered Customers.
- Cart Total Price Condition: You can set a total price range that must be met to display the Request a Quote button to your customers.
- Enable: Select enable to enter a minimum and a maximum total price.
- Disable: Select disable if you don’t want to apply this condition.
- Customer Groups: You can choose a custom customer group that you have created in BC Admin.
- All Customers: Select this option if you want to display the button to all your store visitors.
- Custom: Select this option if you have custom customer groups on your BigCommerce Admin Panel.
- Click on the opened field and select your customer group.
- Notifications: You can enter multiple email addresses in this field to receive notifications from the plugin. Each new quote request notification email will be sent to these email addresses.
- Quote Button Name: Here you can enter the name you want to give to the button that your customers will use to create a request for quotation.
- Phone: Enter a phone number at which your customers will be able to reach you. We will show this information on quote disapproval emails.
- If you don’t want to show your phone number to your customers, then leave this field blank.
- Show Quote Button on: Here you can set the button to display on the Cart Page and/or the Checkout Page.
How to See New Quote Requests
When you have a new quote request, you can see the notification both on the application and in your email inbox. To display the new quote requests and the quote details:
- From the side navigation bar, click on the “New Quotes” tab.
- Here you can see the list of the new quotes. To see the quote details click on the “View” button.
- In quote detail, you can see the Customer Information, BigCommerce Customer Information (for registered customers), and the Product Details (the list of the product(s) customer has selected).
How to Approve New Quote Request
- From the side navigation bar, click on the “New Quotes” tab.
- Click on the “View” button for the related quote you want to approve.
- In the Approve/Disapprove section:
- Choose the Discount Type
- Per Item Discount: Select this option to apply a discount for each item individually.
- Total Discount: Select this option to apply the discount in total for all of the products.
- Choose the Discount Amount
- Fixed Price: Select this option to apply the discount by the price.
- Percentage: Select this option to apply the discount amount as a percentage of the total.
- Enter the amounts.
- Choose the Discount Type
- Click on the “Create a Quote” button.
- On the next step you will see:
- The original product list with original prices
- The new quote with the discounts and discounted prices
- The Total Discount Amount
- The Grand Total
- Click on the “Approve” button.
- On the confirmation pop-up, click “Ok.”
- Alternatively, click on the “Reset the Quote” button to cancel the process
- On the confirmation pop-up, click “Ok.”
How to Disapprove New Quote Request
- From the side navigation bar, click on the “New Quotes” tab.
- Click on the “View” button for the related quote you want to disapprove.
- In the Approve/Disapprove section, click on the “Disapprove” button to reject.
- On the confirmation window, click on the “Ok” button to confirm.
- Upon your disapproval, the customer will be notified by a Disapproved Quote email.
