The primary objective was twofold: to seamlessly migrate Molight’s extensive product data to Shopify, leveraging the client’s database credentials due to Zen Cart’s limitations, and to redesign the website around a theme chosen by the client, ensuring a modern, cohesive look that reflects Molight’s brand identity.

The Objective

Seamless Data Migration: Migrate all essential data from Molight’s existing Zen Cart site to the new Shopify platform, overcoming the technical challenge of Zen Cart having no API, by utilizing the client’s database credentials.

Shopify Platform Utilization: Leverage the Shopify e-commerce platform to enhance Molight’s digital storefront, providing a robust and scalable solution for their online business needs.

Custom Template Design: Implement a custom site design around the theme purchased by the client, ensuring the new Shopify site reflects Molight’s brand identity and appeals to its target audience.

Preservation of SEO Value: Ensure that all meta titles and essential SEO elements are accurately transferred to the new site, maintaining Molight’s search engine rankings and visibility.

Enhanced User Experience: Design the new Shopify site with a focus on user experience, improving navigation, aesthetics, and overall site performance to facilitate higher engagement and conversions.
